Napa Wildlife Rescue and the Wildlife Garden Project
About Napa Wildlife Rescue:
Napa Wildlife Rescue is the only organization in Napa County permitted to rehabilitate, then release healthy wild animals back into their native habitat. We provide a unique and valuable service to the Napa community. Napa Wildlife Rescue was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit corporation under the direction of local veterinarian Shirley Harmon. Napa Wildlife Rescue is permitted through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to possess and provide temporary care for sick, orphaned, or injured California wildlife pursuant to Section 679, Title 14, Code of Regulations (CCR). Additionally, we are permitted through the US Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Division to rehabilitate migratory birds.
About the Wildlife Garden Project:
Members of a Leadership Napa Valley practicum group decided to partner with the Napa Wildlife Rescue organization to develop a Wildlife Garden. This garden is purposed to provide edible vegetation and sustenance for the wildlife treated at Napa Wildlife Rescue. The garden project is completely volunteer based. All the time invested in the organization, planning, development, and construction of the garden is done solely by volunteers. And all supplies, materials, durable goods, and monetary funds needed for the development and implementation of this garden project are provided through such gracious benefactors as you.
Please consider donating specific gifts-in-kind, or monetary donations, towards the development of this much needed wildlife garden.
On behalf of every one of our Board Members and Volunteers and the wildlife that we save, thank you for being there for us, for them.
President, Napa Wildlife Rescue
