Day-to-day center operations
Species identification of songbirds, raptors and mammals
Wildlife husbandry
Medical triage and continued care of sick and injured wildlife
Care for infant wildlife
Interns must be comfortable with…
Working with wild animals that may have zoonotic diseases
Working with wild animals that may bite and/or scratch
Doing lots of cleaning
Handling deceased animals for our raptor and mammal diets
Working outside on hot days (with break, we have AC)
Euthanasia of wildlife that are non-releasable (Interns will not be euthanizing wildlife)
